Freezer and Pantry Favs for your Family!

Make a large pot of soup or chili using canned beans and frozen veggies and freeze leftovers for another meal.


Made too much pancake or waffle batter, freezer additional waffles or pancakes and pop into the toaster for a simple breakfast.


Pair canned black beans with shelf stable salsa and microwavable rice for a quick lunch packed with protein.


Have overripe bananas?  Try a 3 ingredient cookie!  Mash 2 ripe bananas with 1 cup uncooked quick oats and ¼ cup of chocolate chips or raisins and bake for approximately 15 minutes or until golden brown at 350 degrees. 


Making meatloaf – make two!  Eat one for dinner tonight and freeze one for dinner another night.  Try pre-slicing the meatloaf before you freeze to take out enough for one meal.


Prepare frozen shrimp and pair with whole grain pasta and either pesto or low-sodium marinara for a meal in minutes.


Freeze produce before it goes bad—use frozen fruit and veggies to add to your favorite smoothie for a quick breakfast or snack.


Stretch your meals by using lentils! Add them to your favorite lean ground turkey or chicken dish for a boost of fiber and protein.
