Tres Leches French Toast
Prep Time20 Minutes

Ingredients
1 loaf sliced Brioche bread
1 can Bowl & Basket condensed milk
1 can Bowl & Basket evaporated milk
1 cup Bowl & Basket whole milk
1 tbsp Bowl & Basket ground cinnamon
3 large Bowl & Basket eggs
2-4 tbsp butter, plus more as needed for frying toast
Maple syrup, optional for serving
whipped cream, optional for serving
strawberries, optional for serving
Directions
  1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Place bread slices on a baking sheet and dry in the oven for 5-10 minutes or until they feel stale. Remove from the oven and let cool. (Note: you can skip this step if planning ahead and leave the bread slices out overnight to become stale at room temperature)
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the condensed milk, evaporated milk, whole milk, eggs and cinnamon until smooth. Dip dried brioche slices into the custard mixture, being sure to coat them well on both sides. Only dip a few at a time so that they don’t get soggy while you are cooking them in the skillet.
  3. Preheat a large skillet over medium heat and add a tbsp of butter. Once butter has melted and the pan is hot, add 1 to 2 custard-coated brioche slices to the pan and fry until golden brown on both sides, about 1-2 minutes per side. Repeat until all French toast is cooked, adding another tbsp or two of butter as needed to the pan.
  4. Serve with maple syrup, fresh berries, and whipped cream, if desired.
