Ingredients
1 pkg (12 oz) Light ’n Fluffy® Homestyle Noodles
1/3 cup butter, divided
1 onion, diced
3 tbsp all-purpose flour
2 cups sodium-reduced beef broth
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
Pinch ground allspice
1/2 tsp each salt
1/2 tsp each pepper
1 cup sour cream
1 lb frozen prepared Swedish meatballs, cooked according to package directions
1/3 cup bread crumbs
1/3 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
2 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped
Directions

1. Preheat oven to 400˚F. Cook noodles according to package directions.

 

2. Meanwhile, melt 3 tbsp of the butter in skillet set over medium heat; cook onion for about 5 minutes or until tender. Sprinkle with flour; cook for 2 to 3 minutes or until smooth.

 

3. Slowly whisk in broth; bring to boil. Reduce heat to medium; cook, stirring often for 6 to 8 minutes or until sauce is thickened. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, nutmeg and allspice. Season with salt and pepper. Remove from heat; stir in sour cream.

 

4. Toss together noodles, sauce and meatballs. Transfer to greased 13- x 9-inch baking dish.

 

5. In saucepan, melt remaining butter; stir in bread crumbs until well combined; scatter over casserole. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

 

6. Bake for about 20 minutes or until golden brown and heated through. Sprinkle with parsley before serving.

 

Tip: Serve with lingonberry or cranberry sauce if desired.
