Ingredients
1 lb. prepared pizza dough, room temperature
½ cup marinara or pizza sauce
8 oz. Polly-O Shredded Original Pizza cheese (New York Style)
1-2 Tbsp. flour, for dusting
1 Tbsp. olive oil (optional, for brushing crust)
Directions
- Preheat oven to 500˚ F (or as high as your oven allows). Place a pizza stone or inverted sheet pan inside to heat.
- On a lightly floured surface, stretch or roll dough into a 12-14” round. Transfer dough to parchment paper or a floured pizza peel. Spread marinara sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a ½ inch border for the crust.
- Evenly sprinkle Polly-O New York Style Pizza cheese over the sauce. Optional: Lightly brush the crust edge with olive oil for extra color and crispness.
- Carefully transfer pizza onto the hot stone or pan. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until crust is golden and cheese is melted with light browning. Remove from oven, let cool slightly, slice and serve.
